During laser processing, surface protection requires the application of a simple washable coating and rinsing after laser processing, removing debris from the heat activation zone (HAZ). Our products are based upon polymer chemistries not susceptible to thermal crosslinking. We discouraged the use of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) or polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) due to their formation of thermally induced insoluble residues.
